How the new WWE NXT Champion will be crowned following Oba Femi vacating the title last week has been revealed.
On last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil episode of NXT, Oba Femi would defend the NXT Championship in the main event against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, with Oba retaining the title.
After the match, Oba would leave the NXT Championship in the ring, with it later being confirmed that he had officially vacated the belt.
On tonight’s WWE NXT show, NXT General Manager Ava opened the show with the entire men’s roster at ringside, with her looking to see who would step up following the recent influx of main roster call ups.
This brought out Ricky Saints, who demanded that Ava hand him the vacant title, before Ava announced that the new champion would be crowned on February 3 in a six-way Ladder match, with qualifying matches set to begin next week.
This led to a brawl between the entire NXT roster, including Keanu Carver, who was confirmed as an official NXT roster member earlier today, with Carver wiping out everyone and standing tall.
