GUNTHER has given his thoughts on John Cena smiling during his submission loss in his WWE retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
John Cena’s final match took place last weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington DC, where he faced off GUNTHER in his final match.
The match ended with Cena submitting to GUNTHER in a Sleeper Hold, smiling at the camera as he did so.
Speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, GUNTHER opened up on Cena smiling during the submission.
He said:
“I was satisfied with everything to be honest. First of all, I think it’s a very big achievement to take people on a ride like that with a Sleeper Hold. I think that’s a very big achievement.
“That’s the message he wanted to send, and that’s his right, and that’s what he wanted to, the message he wanted to send to his fans. That’s fine. It doesn’t change the outcome if he’s smiling or not.”
