UPDATE: WWE announced the field “thus far” for the Intercontinental Championship ladder match is Penta, Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans, Rusev and JD McDonagh.

GUNTHER was originally planned to face Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania, and due to a Mysterio injury, GUNTHER has been absent from WWE TV for a few weeks.

Tonight on Raw, he attacked Seth Rollins who was in the process of ambushing Paul Heyman, pointing to the WrestleMania sign in the process.

Rollins’ Mania plans have also changed a number of times due to injuries to himself and Bron Breakker.

Also announced for WrestleMania 42 are Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio, as well as an Intercontinental Championship ladder match.

A few weeks ago on Raw, Finn Balor officially split away from Judgment Day, attacking Dominik Mysterio after over a year of tension and issues between the two.

Tonight, it was made official that the pair will go one on one at WrestleMania 42, with Balor stating:

“I’m responsible for creating you. So now, I’m responsible for destroying you. AT WRESTLEMANIA.”

In a separate announcement, an Intercontinental Title match for WrestleMania was made official as well.

Tonight, Penta retained the championship against Kofi Kingston and took to the microphone after the match.

Penta announced that he’ll defend the title in a ladder match at WrestleMania against anyone who wants to be part of the match, not specifically naming how many participants will be involved.

Tonight’s Raw also saw a face-off between WrestleMania opponents Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, before WWE CCO Triple H came out and got between them.

Brock Lesnar Passing The Torch To Oba Femi

With reports that Brock Lesnar’s WWE retirement may be coming as soon as SummerSlam 2026 in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and a new monster arriving on the block in Oba Femi, it appears as if The Beast’s days in WWE could be numbered.

If that is indeed the case, and Lesnar is bowing out in 2026, then there is no better use of him than what WWE is doing right now with his feud with “The Ruler.”

At just 27 years old, Femi is just a few years older than Lesnar when he first took over WWE back in 2002. And what helped Lesnar rise to the top so quick? Destroying legends right, left and center.

With wins over Hulk Hogan, The Rock and The Undertaker within his first year in WWE, Lesnar truly embodied his moniker of “The Next Big Thing” – a title Oba Femi may very well take on should he defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
