Former WWE star Karrion Kross has responded to chants of ‘We Want Kross’ from the crowd during tonight’s SmackDown.
Just under a week ago, Kross and his on-screen associate and real-life wife Scarlett departed WWE as their contracts expired.
This came in the midst of Kross gaining a lot of popularity, meaning many fans were surprised about his departure, and even some people in the company were questioning its legitimacy.
However, Kross has since stated that he and Scarlett are in fact no longer with WWE, and they’ve began taking outside bookings.
Given their level of support, there were questions over whether there would be an R-Truth style movement from fans to get Kross and Scarlett re-hired by WWE following their exit.
While there were a couple of ‘We Want Kross’ signs at Raw in Quebec City, there were no noticeable chants or hijacking of the show.
Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown kicked off with a confrontation between Solo Sikoa and Sami Zayn.
When Zayn made his way to the ring and stood off against Sikoa, the crowd did noticeably begin chanting “We Want Kross”, although it wasn’t for an extended period of time.
Nonetheless, Kross has evidently seen the clips on social media of the chants, as he has responded to them, writing:
I hear you
👊🏻⏳🙏🏻
He’s also retweeted a couple of different versions of the clip.
During an interview with Ariel Helwani this past week, Kross said that ultimately he and Scarlett do want to be in WWE and are open to re-entering talks.
