A former WWE star has said that he believes that AJ Styles will ‘absolutely not’ be able to scratch the itch to wrestle again.
AJ Styles retired from the ring back at the Royal Rumble in Riyadh after losing a career threatening match to GUNTHER, with it being confirmed this week that AJ will be inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class.
While AJ has stated that his career is in fact over, his former OC stablemate Karl Anderson believes that eventually we will see AJ back in the ring.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Anderson said:
“Absolutely no chance. I think he can sit it out for a couple of year, I think he really is able to fix the itch by helping people, he loves teaching people, he loves helping the next generation, he loves helping the young wrestlers, he knows people look up to him, he knows how good he is, he knows how good people think he is.
“I really think that’ll satisfy the itch, until he can’t satisfy the itch anymore with it. Maybe he just needs a couple years away, maybe he just needs a year and a half away, I do think it’s gonna be at least a year, I do think it’s gonna be at least a year and a half even, but the itch is always gonna come back. He’s too competitive, and he’s too good still, and I know that at some point I believe he’s gonna have to get back in there.”
