A pair of former WWE and AEW stars captured their first championship gold in several years at TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory 2024.
In the main event of last night’s event in Detroit, Michigan, The Hardys looked to capture their third TNA World Tag Team Championships.
They challenged reigning title holders The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards) and ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey).
The match was held under the Full Metal Mayhem stipulation, making for the type of ladder and table-based carnage that The Hardys have defined their in-ring careers with.
After almost 30 minutes of action it was Matt and Jeff who got the win, climbing a ladder and retrieving the titles to send the fans in attendance home happy.
The titles are The Hardys first since capturing the International Wrestling Cartel Tag Team Titles in mid-2022, with the last run before that being their 21 day stint with the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles in 2019.
In Bound for Glory’s co-main event, Joe Hendry challenged Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship, with a controversial finish taking place involving a former WWE Champion – click here for full details.
