A former champion is unsure about a future return to WWE, expressing how she feels a “little erased” by the company.

On December 13, 2022, just one day after her 413 day NXT Women’s Championship reign came to an end, Mandy Rose was released by WWE, with the alleged reason being the content she was posting to her FanTime page.

While she has never closed the door on a potential return, Rose has been absent from pro wrestling altogether since her WWE exit, aside from a sole appearance at the Black Label Pro Wrestling combine event in September 2024.

After NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer captured Giulia’s NXT Women’s Title at WWE Roadblock (March 11), WWE didn’t mention that Rose had previously unified the NXT Women’s Championship with the NXT Women’s Championship in 2022.

While Rose’s win was a unification rather than holding two separate titles like Vaquer, Rose was asked during an interview with Busted Open Radio whether she’s surprised that WWE don’t mention her on NXT television.

Rose answered:

“It does. I really don’t know what it was. Circumstantial, and there have been a lot of people in the company where things happen and time goes on and they come back.

“It’s a business, at the end of the day, and they look at it like a business. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe I’d be back too, wrestling in general.

The cards right now for me, I’m doing really well and does it make sense for me to go back to wrestling? I don’t know, and that’s something I’m still unsure about.

“I’ve never hung up the boots and said I’m done. I’m still young. If it made sense, I would definitely consider it.”

Rose would then be asked specifically about a potential return during the annual Royal Rumble event, to which she responded with skepticism regarding whether WWE would welcome her back at all.

Rose said:

“I don’t know if they would accept me back. I don’t know how they feel. I’ve never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don’t know.

“Maybe they just don’t want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I’m a little bit erased in certain scenarios.

“NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, ‘Oh, I got a little recognition there.’ I feel like I am a little erased from their rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.”

We will provide information on Rose’s potential future in pro wrestling if/when further updates become available.
