Finn Balor – at least momentarily – offered up some praise for his WWE WrestleMania 42 opponent Dominik Mysterio.
Balor and Mysterio have been at odds for over a year, with Mysterio pinning Balor at WrestleMania 41 last year to win the Intercontinental Championship.
Now, things are finally coming back around to a one-on-one match between the two at Mania 42.
Finn Balor appeared on the latest edition of the Talk’N Shop podcast hosted by Karl Anderson, and brought up the Mysterio match.
Balor praised Mysterio, but then made sure to reiterate that he intends on putting Mysterio in his place.
Balor said:
“Whatever’s happened between us, hats off to the kid. He’s an incredible talent.
“But what’s worse than getting beat up by your dad? Getting beat up by your stepdad!”

Who Will Winn Finn Balor Vs. Dominik Mysterio At WrestleMania?
The Finn Balor vs Dominik Mysterio match at WWE WrestleMania 42 is one that could probably go either way.
The most general thing to say would be that the more experienced and traveled talent would put the new upcoming talent over, but with Mysterio, he’s someone who can take a loss and stay over.
It ultimately depends on WWE’s future plans for Finn Balor and if he’s set to be in any title pictures coming soon, because if he is, he could do with a win here.
A loss to Balor would do more damage to Balor than a loss to Mysterio would do to Mysterio, so it just depends on what – if anything – WWE has in the pipeline for Balor.
