A falls count anywhere championship match has been added to the July 12 WWE Great American Bash premium live event.
In addition to the main roster holding Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution this weekend, NXT will also be holding the Great American Bash event earlier in the afternoon on Saturday.
On tonight’s July 8 episode of WWE NXT, Ricky Saints faced Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes and Evolve Champion Jackson Drake in a gauntlet match, with the stipulation that Saints would earn an NXT North American Title shot against Ethan Page at the Bash if he could beat all three of Baylor, Smokes and Drake.
Saints did just that, scoring pinfalls against Baylor, Smokes, and finally Drake, in the ‘Vanity Project gauntlet’.
An additional stipulation was that if Saints won, he’d be able to choose the stipulation for his title match against Page at the Bash.
Therefore, after his third victory, Saints grabbed a microphone and announced his chosen stip.
Saints confirmed that the match against Page with the NXT North American Title on the line will be a Falls Count Anywhere match.
