Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has responded to a fellow WWE star claiming that he is the ‘bad guy’ in his story.
Cody Rhodes famously ‘finished the story’ at WrestleMania 40, when he defeated Roman Reigns to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.
Rhodes has defended the championship against all comers since WrestleMania, and his set for his next defence at WWE Bash In Berlin next weekend against Kevin Owens.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, Grayson Waller fired a shot at Cody’s ongoing story with Owens, calling him the ‘bad guy’ in the story.
He said:
I can’t wait for the day people wake up and realise that Cody Rhodes has always been the bad guy in the ‘story’
Responding to Waller, Cody seemingly requested an appearance on the Grayson Waller Effect on tomorrow’s episode of SmackDown.
He said:
Interesting take @GraysonWWE, how about we have a chat tomorrow on #SmackDown and I can show you how much of a “bad guy” I can be.
Waller and his tag team partner Austin Theory had their own run in with Kevin Owens recently, with Waller facing off against Owens on last week’s SmackDown show.
