CM Punk Opens Up About Watching AJ Lee Wrestle In WWE

CM Punk has opened up about watching AJ Lee wrestle in WWE since her return to the company to team with him last year.

Punk and his wife Lee are both set to work this Saturday’s WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event in Punk’s hometown of Chicago.

Punk defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor, while Lee challenges Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Title.

Appearing together on ESPN Get Up today, Punk commented on what it’s like to watch his wife back in the ring.

He said:

“I believe I’m her number one fan.

“It’s a little sappy, it’s a little goofy, but yeah, when she came back in Chicago, Allstate Arena in September, I had a front row seat, and I was spoiled, because I had the best seat in the house and I got to watch history.”

AJ Lee was then asked if she finds it harder watching Punk or wrestling herself, to which she replied:

“Watching him. I can get punched in the face all day long, but I wince.”

Punk was asked the same question – he said:

“Same answer. I have no nerves or butterflies when I watch her, because I know she’s a pro.

“I more or less worry about myself because I know what an idiot I am.”
