CM Punk & Others Believed The Undertaker Would Run-In During WWE SummerSlam Main Event

CM Punk and other WWE names believed that The Undertaker would run-in during the SummerSlam 2025 main event.

The main event of WWE SummerSlam night two saw John Cena defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes in a rematch from WrestleMania 41.

The match ended without any outside interference, but a number of onlookers were of the belief we could have seen The Undertaker appear during the match.

Speaking on Six Feet Under, Michelle McCool recalled watching the match backstage with Undertaker, CM Punk and Brandi Rhodes, and them all believing Undertaker was about to do a run-in during the match.

She said:

“We were watching backstage sitting on the back side of Gorilla, the back wall, and it was (Undertaker), me, Punk and Brandi.

“(Cody & Cena) were deep into the match now, like five Attitude Adjustments in, I don’t know how many false finishes, we were like hook, line and sinker ‘what is going on’. Then Brandi turns, she goes ‘normally I ask him is there anything you need to give me the heads up on, I didn’t ask tonight, now I’m wishing I had’.

“But at that very moment, I kid you not, Mark stands up and proceeds to powerwalk, I’m talking like stomp, doesn’t look our way, doesn’t say ‘I’ll be back’, nothing. Powerwalks through the curtain in Gorilla, and me, Punk and Brandi almost at the same time were like ‘…is he?’

“Because he had come out the year before at WrestleMania and not many people knew, I did know about that one, and I said ‘is he about to do a run-in’ she’s like ‘I have no idea’, and Punk’s eyes are big and we’re like-

“Probably four or five minutes later he comes back through the curtain, I was like ‘where are you at?’ He’s like ‘I had to go pee, there’s a porta-potty through the curtain’. I’m like ‘are you serious right now, we all thought you were about to do a run-in’.”
