A change made to the internal rundown of WWE promos has been revealed following this week’s SmackDown show.

This week’s episode of SmackDown took place in Portland, Oregon, and featured a number of big promo segments, including the opening segment with Paul Heyman and Cody Rhodes, as well as Tiffany Stratton’s in-ring promo after winning the WWE Women’s Championship.

During both promos, additional competitors ended up getting involved, with Kevin Owens, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga showing up during the opener, and Nia Jax, Bayley, Bianca Belair and Naomi showing up during Stratton’s promo.

However, a big change was made to how the segments were listed internally.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE has now moved away from listing additional people who get involved in promos on their internal rundowns of the show.

WWE recently began listing the writers for promos on the internal rundown for the show.

During Heyman and Rhodes’ promo segment last night, Heyman announced that Roman Reigns would officially be a part of the 2025 Royal Rumble match.
