1. A Bit Lax

No-one likes being reminded about the slow embrace of death that will eventually succumb us all, but that’s all that Impact champ Steiner is doing to me every week. Once one of the greatest wrestling machines in history, now Scott is so past it he’s unable to prevent Ortiz from breaking up a pin so the poor guy has to flounder like a fish out of water until Steiner remembers where he parked his car.

If you’re going to mess up video games, you’d better not do it on worldwide TV. And if you do, you’d better better better not do it in front of Xavier ”owns a YouTube Channel dedicated to gaming” Woods who knows his Probotectors from his Contras. Miz insists he’s a gamer and that may be true but he definitely doesn’t play Fortnite or Street Fighter II Turbo.

ROH took to Doncaster this week (may God have mercy on their souls) and Matt Taven was gracious enough to slip on the ropes and shout me out mid-move. We then bonded on Twitter.

4. Jushing The Envelope

WWE uploaded a new batch of Hidden Gems onto the Network which included a sweet Eddie Guerrero vs. Jushin Liger match from WCW Main Event in 1995, but because it’s WCW they found a way to mess that dream match up. Apparently for a brief time one of the production monkeys thought Liger’s first name was an abbreviation of Jushing, whatever the hell that is.

5. The Best There Is XYZ

Bret Hart was a bit occupied during this entrance on WCW Thunder and you can see the exact moment a kind fan tells him he’s flying low. Seconds after this, HBK showed up to shout ”see, I told you he was having Sunny Days! By which I mean he’s wearing shades to block the glare, cough cough.”

A stretcher went past Kevin Owens and Kurt Angle during the start of Raw so I thought, ”Hey, they goofed and showed the stretcher they were going to use later for Rollins, oh boy!”

…then a closer look revealed it was a real dude who is hopefully doing OK. And if he isn’t, hopefully someone recorded it and uploaded the video online already.
