A former WWE Champion has speculated that Becky Lynch could have brought in a previous boyfriend to feud with CM Punk and AJ Lee.
Last year, Lynch aligned with her husband Seth Rollins on WWE TV to help him in his rivalry with CM Punk.
This led to the return of Punk’s wife AJ Lee, and a mixed tag team match between the two teams at Wrestlepalooza, which Punk and Lee won.
Although Lee has made very few appearances since then, her feud with Lynch has continued, and the two are set for a singles match at Elimination Chamber and could be set for another at WrestleMania.
Meanwhile, Punk has recently been feuding with Finn Balor, which is another match at Elimination Chamber, before Punk goes on to the main event of Mania against Roman Reigns.
On the official WWE Raw Recap show after tonight’s show, host Sam Roberts pointed out that Punk and Lee are both now feuding with someone from Ireland, referring to Balor and Lynch.
Former WWE Champion Big E responded by pointing out that Lynch and Balor used to date, speculating that Lynch could have looked back to her past to continue her feud with Punk and Lee while Rollins is out injured.
“Becky has been open about her dating Finn back in the day, a long time ago – refers to Finn as her first love.
“So maybe she’s going back into the Wayback Machine to find some allies, to destroy the Punk and AJ family.”

There hasn’t actually been any interaction between Lynch and Balor on WWE TV and their respective feud with Lee and Punk have been treated as pretty much entirely separate up to this point.
Roberts also commented on the build to the Lynch vs Lee match, saying:
“With all the circus and carnival-like antics of Becky Lynch, you almost forget for a second that this is a superfight. This is a dream match.
“This is a massive, massive moment for fans, for AJ Lee, for Becky Lynch, to get to see Becky Lynch at this point in her career versus AJ Lee at this point in her career.
“Two of the best going at it for a title that a couple of years ago didn’t even exist, was something that people wanted for that division.
“I think that this is a much bigger match than people realize, and part of that is because Becky Lynch is a walking distraction.”
