Becky Lynch has commented on potentially retiring AJ Lee with their match coming up at WWE Elimination Chamber.
Lynch defends her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Lee at the Chamber event on Saturday, February 28.
In comments leading up to the match, Lynch has threatened to humiliate Lee so much that she’ll retire out of embarrassment.
In a new interview with ESPN Sportscenter, Lynch has reiterated that sentiment, claiming that Lee would be the “the talented AJ to retire this year” – referencing the recent retirement of AJ Styles.
She said:
“I have won almost every title. I’ve done absolutely everything that is to be done in WWE. I’ve won the Royal Rumble, I’ve been on the cover of the video game, I’ve main evented WrestleMania, I’ve main evented pay-per-views, I’ve main evented Raws, I’ve main evented SmackDowns.
“She has done none of these things, so she cannot stand there and compare herself to myself. Myself is wonderful, myself is amazing. Herself was fine, for a time.
“Her time is over, and it should be over. We’ve moved on. We’ve moved past her.
“I’m very excited to see the end of her and to retire her. Unfortunately for her, she will be the least talented AJ to retire this year.”
