Bayley has blamed Michael Cole for a WWE Raw mishap last night that saw the star slip during her own ring entrance.
On the April 6 episode of WWE Raw, Bayley took on Lash Legend, defeating her opponent ahead of their upcoming Fatal Four-way Tag Team Match at WrestleMania 42 where they’ll team with Lyra Valkyria and Nia Jax respectively.
Bayley would be victorious over Legend, who holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Jax, no doubt sending a message ahead of the April 18 match that will also feature The Bella Twins and the team of Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.
Entering the ring, however, was a challenging time for Bayley, as she stepped through the ropes, made her way along the canvas, only to lose her footing, rolling backwards and laughing at what happened.
Sharing a photo on Twitter, Bayley would lay the blame at the feet of her long-time foe, Michael Cole, tweeting:
“Michael Cole oiled the ring and made me slip. I just know it”
There would be a groundswell of support for Bayley in her belief, although Cole himself is yet to respond.
Accidents Will Happen
Accidents. Botches. Slip-ups. They’re bound to happen on any particular day in the world of professional wrestling, and last night’s WWE Raw was no exception.
Some incidents are much more shocking than others, with Liv Morgan recently showing off the massive bump on her head that she received after being thrown into a television backstage by Stephanie Vaquer.
In Bayley’s case, the slip was much more graceful than many of us would likely have been able to achieve, no doubt thanks to her training, with some independent wrestlers having previously espoused that the work that they put into their craft means that they know how to fall with a degree of safety, even in moments such as this.
Even on commentary, Corey Graves took it in his stride, noting “maybe the nerves have gotten to Bayley” as he saw her take a tumble at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the home of last night’s WWE Raw.
Whether it was Michael Cole who caused it remains to be seen, although there might not be room to fit a match against Bayley at WrestleMania 42, with the veteran announcer still undefeated in the history of the key WWE Premium Live Event.
Ahead of the April 18 & 19 WWE PLE, the full line up for both nights of WrestleMania 42 can be seen right here.
