The Vision’s Austin Theory and Logan Paul are the new World Tag Team Champions, winning title from The Usos on WWE Raw tonight.
The match was a street fight and saw some notable involvement from LA Knight and IShowSpeed at ringside.
Knight, who was attempting to help The Usos, was struck by Speed who used Logan Paul’s brass knuckles as a weapon.
The brass knuckles proved pivotal again a few minutes later, as Paul used them which allowed Theory to score the pinfall and win the championship for his team.
The whole situation seems to potentially be setting up either a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania 42, or perhaps an Usos vs Vision rematch with Knight vs Speed being a separate singles match.
Time For WWE’s Youth Movement To Take Center Stage
In a tweet prior to Monday Night Raw, Austin Theory said the “youth movement” of WWE would be beginning with he and Logan Paul’s World Tag Team Championship win over The Usos.
At 28 and 30 years old, Theory and Paul are two of WWE Raw’s younger male stars in or around the upper mid-card, however, the true top tier positions in the main event are still held by WWE’s veteran names.
All four stars involved in the WrestleMania 42 main events: CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are aged 40 or above, with three of those four also involved in last years main events across Night One and Night Two of WrestleMania 41.
With stars such as Oba Femi and Bron Breakker seeming set to carry WWE into the future, the company would be wise to have one, or both, involved in the main event picture come WrestleMania 43, with many fans growing restless at the same faces dominating the main event scene.
