A former WWE star has addressed a possibility of a return to the company, noting that his stance on a potential comeback has changed.
Following his WWE release in May 2016, Damien Sandow re-introduced himself as Aron Stevens, wrestling on the independent circuit, and for the likes of TNA Wrestling and NWA.
Speaking with XeniaDidThat, Stevens noted that while he isn’t actively working towards making a WWE return, his stance has changed in recent years.
Discussing his relationship with wrestling post-WWE exit, Stevens said:
“I don’t have a desire to. There’s just so many other things that I kind of have on the horizon right now.
“That’s another thing, NWA has been great with me. When I left WWE, I had a very bitter taste for the wrestling industry. TNA, that was good, that was a lot of fun in TNA, and then they switched management.
“I just wasn’t really digging the way the company was going. I just left and was out in LA doing my thing, and Billy (Corgan) called me to come back.”

Stevens explained that he was filming for Magnum P.I when Corgan reached out to him about debuting for NWA, a company which has since helped him reconcile his relationship with pro-wrestling.
Noting that his stance on a potential WWE return has changed, Stevens said:
“Look, if WWE called, it’s not something I really think about. If they called, alright, I would of course listen, I mean, I may say yes, I may say no.
“There are so many factors that go into that, but I would’ve said no a year and a half ago. I totally would’ve said no. Now it’s like, you never know.
“You never know, but I’m certainly not like, having any aspirations. I’m far too concerned with trying to do the best I can where I’m at.”

Stevens hasn’t wrestled since losing to Alex Misery via countout at an NWA Powerrr taping in December 2025. This match aired on the March 3 broadcast.
Even if Stevens doesn’t ever make a full-time WWE return, it would be fun to see the 2013 Mr Money in the Bank make a one-off appearance, for a reunion with his former tag partner Cody Rhodes.
Stevens previously commented on Rhodes’ recent WWE success, click here to read more.
