AJ Styles has made a prediction for today’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 premium live event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
While the majority of fans’ focus for the Royal Rumble event is on the two titular 30 person Rumble matches, arguably more of a talking point ahead of this year’s instalment has been whether we will see “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles wrestle the final match of his illustrious career when he takes on GUNTHER.
Despite his own career being under threat, Styles also has his eyes on the rest of the card, and who could have a career-making moment in the Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Speaking in a new video posted by WWE ahead of the Royal Rumble, Styles picked former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Maxxine Dupri to pull off a big upset win in Riyadh:
“I’m thinking about who’s on a roll right now, who’s on that coming-up kind of streak, and who to fancy as the next big women’s champion, or at least a contender.
“I think I’m going to go with Maxxine Dupri. I think she has something special going on.
“She looks the part, she’s been (Women’s) Intercontinental Champion, why not have a chance at the Women’s World Championship?”

While Styles never won a Royal Rumble throughout his decade in the company, he did make his WWE debut at the event back in 2016 after departing New Japan Pro Wrestling.
GUNTHER’s status for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match was placed in doubt ahead of today’s event after CM Punk declared that “The Ring General” wasn’t set to enter the match during the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show – click here for the latest update on the situation.
