An update on AJ Lee’s status for the WWE 2K26 video game following her return to the company back in September.
AJ Lee made her return to WWE after over 10 years away on the September 5 episode of SmackDown in Chicago, aligning with her husband CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.
The two teams would face off in a mixed tag team match at WrestlePalooza, with AJ submitting Becky to win the match for their team.
With AJ now back in the fold, many wondered if she would be back in time to feature in the WWE 2k26 video game, or if she would be DLC for the game.
Over the past few days, WWE Games has been teasing potential additions to the new game, which included a VHS tape with ‘WrestlePalooza’ on it, which was a potential hint that a match from the show would feature in this year’s Showcase mode, which is speculated to feature CM Punk.
Now, a more definitive hint towards AJ has been revealed, with the television featured in today’s teaser featuring the words ‘Light It Up’, which is a clear reference to AJ Lee’s theme song.
Strike a match. Climb anyway. Some chaos is intentional. 🔥#WWE2K26
