An AEW star has reportedly been released before making his television debut for the company.
This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage show saw a vignette air for the debut of The Rascalz, just one day after it was reported that Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel and Myron Reed had finished up with TNA Wrestling.
With all four of The Rascalz reportedly signed to AEW, fans were surprised to see only Xavier, Wentz and Reed, when the group made their debut on the January 17 episode of AEW Collision.
Amid speculation regarding his status, Miguel took to social media today to confirm that he’s “taking a break” from wrestling.
Miguel wrote:
Taking a break from wrestling. Please respect my space and don’t tag me in any posts or comments. Go support The Rascalz still..
However, now in another update Fightful Select have confirmed that Miguel has in fact been released from his AEW contract that he only recently signed.
We will provide further updates on Miguel’s AEW departure if more information becomes available.
We wish Trey Miguel all the best during his break from wrestling.
Trey Miguel was released from his AEW contract that he'd recently signed, @FightfulSelect confirmed.
