An AEW star has shared footage of themselves training in the ring ahead of their eventual return, amid their in-ring absence.
Queen Aminata hasn’t wrestled since the October 29, 2025 Dynamite episode, where she and Jamie Hayter teamed in a losing effort against Julia Hart & Skye Blue in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Title tournament quarterfinal.
With Animata recovering from a neck injury in the months since, the AEW star has now shared an in-ring training update as she prepares for her comeback.
Queen Aminata shared a video on social media of herself performing drills in the ring at the Ohio Pro Wrestling Academy.
In the caption for the video, which you can view below, Aminata noted that coming back from an injury “ain’t no joke.”
Queen Aminata was originally set to compete in the women’s Blood & Guts match, teaming with Jamie Hayter, Toni Storm, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron against Mercedes Mone, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir and the Triangle of Madness on November 12.
It was announced ahead of the November 5 Dynamite episode that Aminata had been medically removed from the Blood & Guts lineup, with Mina Shirakawa replacing her.
Mone, Bayne, Shafir and Triangle of Madness were ultimately victorious, with Storm surrendering to save Shirakawa.
With Queen Aminata teasing her in-ring return, we could see the former GCW Women’s Champion make her wrestling comeback on AEW or ROH, with the star having regularly competed on both brands prior to her injury.
She most recently competed on ROH at the August 29 Death Before Dishonor 2025 special, defeating Taya Valkyrie in their ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament quarterfinal.
