Former AEW Star Retirement Update

A former AEW star has shared a retirement update following the announcement of an appearance at an independent show.

In a recent post on social media, Game Changer Wrestling confirmed that Marko Stunt would be making an appearance.

Noting that Stunt would be saying “farewell to pro wrestling”, the post on Twitter stated that Marko Stunt would be making his return to GCW, reading:

“MARKO STUNT returns to GCW for one more night as he says farewell to pro wrestling…”

Fans would respond by revealing who they would like Stunt to face in his first GCW appearance since January 2023.

Stunt, who recently embarked on a new career having retired from wrestling following his AEW Collision match agaist Jack Perry last year, would clarify plans for his GCW appearance.

Having announced his retirement in November 2024, Stunt would confirm that he is still very much retired, tweeting:

“Guys, I’m retired. I’m not wrestling lol.

“GCW is home and I get to tell everyone goodbye in person and see some amazing friends one more time and that’s gonna be dope.

“See you there 🫶”

A regular in Game Changer Wrestling since 2018, Stunt would unsuccessfully challenge Nick Gage for the GCW World Championship in July of the following year.

The People Vs. GCW in 2022 would also see Stunt compete in the Extreme Championship Six Way Scramble, with Cole Radrick walking away with the title.
