Earlier today, it was confirmed that former NXT Tag Team Champions Brutus and Julius Creed of the Creed Brothers had departed WWE.

The Creeds reportedly opted to let their contracts expire and test free agency, while WWE had plans for the pair following their return to NXT for the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

With the Creed Brothers now free agents, here are some potential future plans for them.

Heading up TNA’s Tag Team Division

The Creed Brothers made their main roster debuts on WWE Raw in November 2023.

The Creed Brothers are now able to show up whether they wish due to their departure being a contract expiration rather than them being released.

The Creeds never got the opportunity to be put in a prime spot in the WWE main roster tag team division, if there could even be considered one given how both sets of titles have been booked.

However, the Creeds signing with TNA to be the primary tag team in the division to build the entire thing around would be a great way for them to showcase what they can do when being put in that position.

TNA would give the Creeds the chance to work with some different names, but also potentially revive former issues they have with SyX from when the group debuted in 2024.

Reuniting with Stokely or Roderick Strong in AEW

Where WWE is absolutely lacking in it’s tag team division, the same can’t be said for AEW, who have almost inarguably formed the greatest tag team division in wrestling today.

While the Creed Brothers would be more at risk of being lost in the shuffle when competing for ring time with the likes of the Young Bucks, FTR, Motor City Machine Guns, New Level and more, there are other names in the company they have history with.

During their time in NXT 2.0, the Creeds were part of the Diamond Mine faction with Stokely Hathaway (Malcolm Bivens) and Roderick Strong.

While teases of Strong leaving the Conglomeration have stopped over the past year, there was once a time where it seemed he was destined to turn heel and leave the group.

With the Creed Brothers now free agents, it could be time to revisit that and run some Trios matches with the old Diamond Mine members.
