WWE is reportedly interested in bringing in an NXT star’s father to make an appearance on the show coming up soon.
This past Tuesday, a video aired on NXT highlighting the life story of Lola Vice ahead of her NXT Women’s Championship match against Jacy Jayne at No Mercy on September 27.
The video featured comments and footage of Vice’s sister and father.
Coming out of the video airing, news emerged that the door is open for Vice’s sister, Natalie Loureda, to sign with the company, and there has actually been contact in the past.
However, an update has now emerged on her father as well.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is looking to bring him in for the September 23 episode of NXT, which is the last episode before No Mercy. Alvarez said:
“I’ve just been told that there’s a very good chance that they’re gonna try to get her dad for the September 23 go-home show for NXT.
“I also got a couple of messages regarding her dad. Basically I was told that, ‘This guy is the nicest guy in the world and he is actually like that (like he was in the video), it’s not a character he’s playing at all. The guy is always cranked up to a 10. You should see him actually coach at tournaments. 1000% energy and heart and soul for his students. Bryan was spot on, he’s actually more of a character than anyone in the business.’
“He adds that, ‘During lockdown he posted videos of himself running around a park in Miami screaming, kicking tire swings and fenceposts. You can’t even write a character like him.'”
