A WWE star made their return to live appearances on Raw after undergoing something of a character change as of late.
2025 has been a rough year for Bayley, who missed out on both WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
Her most recent outings had seen her accidentally get on the bad side of Lyra Valkyria, which left her questioning herself and unsure of her place on the roster.
In recent weeks, video promos had been airing from Bayley, in which she was seemingly voicing her inner turmoil and torn between different sides of herself – the ‘Hugger’, the ‘Role Model’ and ‘Ding Dong Hello’ Bayley.
Bayley hasn’t actually had a televised match since July, when she and Valkyria came up short in challenging Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Valkyria’s issues with Perez and Rodriguez have persisted since then – last week, she lost a match against Rodriguez, and tonight on Raw on Netflix, she faced Perez.
This time, it was actually Valkyria who defeated Perez, but Perez and Rodriguez immediately started a post-match attack.
However, it was short-lived, as Bayley herself came out to make the save, making her first live appearance in a number of weeks.
After dealing with Perez and Rodriguez, Bayley had a moment of uncertainty as she locked eyes with Valkyria, but then proceeded to launch into her ‘Hugger’ persona, hugging announcers Joe Tessitore and Corey Graves, ring announcer Alicia Taylor, referee Jessika Carr, some fans in the front row, and a security guard.
So, for this week at least, ‘Hugger’ Bayley is back. Also worth noting is that she was wearing an AJ Lee shirt, showing her support for the recently returned former WWE Divas Champion.
Later in the show, Valkyria tried to thank Bayley backstage, but Bayley got incredibly aggressive and screamed at her, so there’s still the dual personality thing going on.
