A WWE star has commented on their recent character change, which was first introduced last week.
During the July 19 NXT live event in Tampa, FL, Ridge Holland debuted a brand new look, along with a new nickname for his match with Tate Wilder.
In what appears to be a character playing into his roots in Rugby League, Holland wore a new ring jacket and trunks featuring the moniker ‘The Steam Pig’, along with a new logo, seemingly confirming that as his new nickname going forward.
He also wore a headband during the match, which he hasn’t done previously.
Holland was once again in action during WWE NXT’s live event in Citrus Springs, FL on Friday, July 25, taking on Shiloh Hill, and once again appeared as ‘The Steam Pig’.
Taking to Twitter, Holland shared a picture of his new look, as well as a comment on its apparent origins.
Holland wrote:

Holland last competed on WWE TV on the May 6 edition of NXT, being one of many entrants in a number one contender’s battle royal for Oba Femi’s NXT Championship.
It remains to be seen when the English star will make his return to televised in-ring action, but we will provide updates on his status if they become available.
