WWE's John Cena and The Judgment day

WWE star Roxanne Perez has detailed an “inspiring” exchange herself and The Judgment Day had with John Cena backstage at Survivor Series 2025.

In what was his final WWE premium live event match, and second-to-last match of his in-ring career, John Cena faced off with Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series on November 27.

The match saw Cena lose his Intercontinental Championship in his first defense of the gold back to “Dirty Dom” after interference from The Judgment Day’s Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and eventually, Liv Morgan.

Reflecting on her interaction with Cena during an interview with Going Ringside, Roxanne Perez revealed that WWE’s “Greatest of All Time” brought The Judgment Day together after the match to assess their performances, as well as his own.

Perez said:

“It’s really inspiring that even at his level, he always wants to be better. After our match at Survivor Series he brought us all together, everybody that was a part of that match, and the first thing he asked was, ‘Okay, what do you guys think we could have done better?’ He’s asking all of us that, like ‘What do you guys think we could have done better?’ ‘What do you think I could have done better?’”

Perez was then asked if she found it “awkward” being asked to critique Cena’s performance, to which she replied:

Maybe a little bit, but it was mostly just inspiring because it shows that you can learn from anybody, and no one is better than anybody really, truly. That was definitely something that I would take with me throughout my entire career.

“You just never stop learning, you never stop getting better, and even the best to ever do it, John Cena, he never stops getting better. I’m pretty sure he asked himself that in his retirement match as well.”

After his loss to Mysterio, Cena would go on to also lose his final WWE match two weeks later, being submitted by GUNTHER at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
