A WWE Raw star worked last night’s March 7 NXT live event that took place at Jacksonville Armory in Florida.
In addition to live NXT TV tapings every Tuesday, the NXT roster often works untelevised live events during the weekends, usually in Florida.
This is one of those weekends, with the first of two live events taking place in Jacksonville, with a second in Tampa tonight.
At last night’s show, there was something of a surprise as WWE Raw star Maxxine Dupri was in action.
Dupri teamed up with Lash Legend and Thea Hail in a six-woman tag team match, losing out against Fatal Influence.
Dupri’s boyfriend Anthony Luke worked the same show, teaming up with Troy Yearwood against Hank Walker and Tank Ledger.
Luke’s relationship with Dupri has been brought up throughout the WWE LFG series on A&E, with Luke being one of the 16 rookies on that show, and she was shown in attendance for one of his matches at the Performance Center.
There’s no word yet on whether Dupri working in NXT will be a consistent thing, but we’ll keep you posted with any updates.
She had a short spell appearing on NXT TV a few years ago under the name Sofia Cromwell, but she was called up to the main roster as Maxxine Dupri with zero match experience.
This past Monday on Raw, she was shown going to Natalya for advice as she seems uncertain about the direction of Alpha Academy after Akira Tozawa and Otis have both suffered losses to GUNTHER in consecutive weeks.
