Will Ospreay Reveals Life Threatening Kidney Infection From May

Top NJPW star Will Ospreay has revealed the circumstances behind his life threatening kidney injection that he suffered in May.

On the August 17 G1 Climax 32 Semifinals, Will Ospreay defeated Tetsuya Naito to advance to face Kazuchika Okada in the finals of the tournament tomorrow.

Following his win, Ospreay cut a passionate promo revealing that he nearly died this past May due to a kidney infection that he suffered.

Later on Wednesday, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion took to Twitter to address his life threatening kidney infection.

He wrote:

So it’s not really spoken about enough but May I nearly died.
My infection was that serious

Came back in 2 weeks.

3 months from that point, tomorrow I’m in the G1 Final on NJPW 50th Anniversary.

I wish I could hear your voices. But I’ll fight with everything I’ve got.

Besides the G1 Climax 32 Finals, Ospreay will team up with Aussie Open against PAC, Penta Oscuro and Rey Fenix of Death Triangle in the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament on the August 24 edition of Dynamite.
