‘We Actually Saw Each Other Recently’: Former WWE Star Discusses Working With The Miz

A former WWE star has discussed his experiences working with his former tag-team partner The Miz, opening up about their friendship.

Damien Sandow wrestled alongside The Miz as “Damien Mizdow”, acting as a stunt double for the A-lister from August 2014 to March 2015.

Speaking on XeniaDidThat, the now-Aron Stevens reflected on his partnership with The Miz, noting that they didn’t often discuss their plans for Mizdow moments ahead of time.

When asked if there’s a specific moment from his career he’d love to relive, Stevens responded:

“When Miz and I won the tag titles, St Louis, I believe it was, Survivor Series, I think. We won and he naturally grabbed both belts, because we were thinking the exact same thing.

“We wouldn’t talk about the Mizdow stuff, we wouldn’t sit back like ‘Oh, if you do this, I’ll do…’ No, it as like ‘What’s up dude? Ready to go to work? Yep.’

“It was just awesome, working with him. It was such a crazy cool experience because The Miz and I are great friends. We actually saw each other recently.

“There’s just nothing but love there, but we didn’t necessarily drive together and hang out all the time. But man, when it came to doing business, our timing, it was there, we knew that, and it was cool.

“That was cool, winning (the WWE Tag Team Championship) because he gets the belts and did this (holds them up), they boo, and then I do it, they cheer.

“We looked at each other, I remember this. We’re like ‘Okay!’ So he starts doing it more, yep. And then we went to both sides – I’ve got goosebumps right now – but it was just phenomenal.”

Damien Mizdow and The Miz won the WWE Tag Team Championship in a four-way match at Survivor Series 2014, defeating Los Matadores, The Usos, and champions Goldust & Stardust to walk out with the gold.

With Aron Stevens also noting in this interview that he’d definitely listen if WWE gave him a call, it would be fitting to see a reunion with The Miz if he was to ever make a return appearance.
