An interesting update has emerged on Roman Reigns’ WWE future and status for WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Following previous comments and recent wins, there has been a lot of speculation about Roman Reigns’ in-ring future.
With Roman Reigns telling Vanity Fair in April 2025 that he will only wrestle for “another year or two max” after his current WWE contract ends following WrestleMania 42 in April 2026, Reigns has indicated that he plans to be at a notable WWE show in 2027.
WWE has now shared a short vlog showing Roman Reigns backstage at Royal Rumble.
The vlog concluded with Roman Reigns making some interesting comments immediately after his Royal Rumble win, with the OTC saying:
“Need I say more? It was only a matter of time. Now the real work starts.
“In one year’s time, excuse me, one year and a couple months, this city’s mine again.
“I’m gonna choke the life out of this game.”
