Ric Flair Names Potential WrestleMania Match That Could Be As Big As Steve Austin Vs The Rock

Ric Flair has offered his thoughts on a potential match up between WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair and his daughter Charlotte Flair.

The Nature Boy was released from WWE in August 2021, after an episode of the VICE documentary series Dark Side Of The Ring brought some past allegations against him back into the public eye.

Speaking on his To Be A Man podcast, Flair pontificated on the potential bout, saying that it has the potential to stack up to another legendary wrestling rivalry, that of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Flair said:

“I have no inclination as to whether or not this will happen, but I think if Ashley [Charlotte Flair] wrestles Bianca Belair at WrestleMania, it’ll be as big as Austin and Rock if they build it right.

“They are the two best athletes ever, that I’ve seen in my career, to ever be in the same women’s division. There are some other great workers, but for pure athletic ability, Bianca Belair and Ashley stand out.

“They could be the two best athletes in the company. I’m not kidding. Both are legitimate Division 1 athletes with credentials.

Charlotte Flair has not appeared on WWE TV since she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May, though reports have emerged stating that The Queen may be on her way back soon.

Ric himself has wrestled more recently than his daughter, competing in his Last Match over SummerSlam weekend back in July.
