A WWE Hall of Famer has reacted to Oba Femi dropping Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw, ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Following speculation about who will answer Lesnar’s open challenge for WrestleMania, The Beast’s opponent for the April 18-19 event was revealed on this week’s Raw episode.
The March 16 show saw Lesnar take out a number of Seth Rollins’ masked accomplices, before confronting Rollins in the ring.
Oba Femi then made his way to the ring and put Brock Lesnar down with a single Fall From Grace powerbomb, a moment which made Michael Cole say “holy s**t” on commentary.
Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) has now taken to Twitter to share his thoughts on the segment.
Believing that Brock Lesnar made Oba Femi a star in this segment, Bully Ray tweeted:
“How to make a muthaf**ka in 60 seconds.” -By Brock Lesnar
This came after Femi and Lesnar’s confrontation in January’s Royal Rumble match, which ended with Lesnar eliminating Femi from the match.
Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi has now been confirmed for WrestleMania 42. This will be Lesnar’s first WrestleMania match since defeating Omos at WrestleMania 39 in 2023.
With it being heavily speculated that Lesnar will retire at SummerSlam in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, it seems like the upcoming WrestleMania match will go one of two ways.
While we could see Oba Femi defeat Brock Lesnar in a passing-of-the-torch moment – which really would be for the best to keep Oba Femi’s momentum – we could also see Lesnar fend off the former NXT Champion to make an eventual torch-pass even greater.
Tommy Dreamer also commented on the segment, making a bold statement about the decision to have Michael Cole swear on commentary.
