Perhaps the most anticipated bout was Kyle Fletcher against England’s own PAC, with both stars needing wins to continue their push towards advancing to the semifinals stage.

Despite Fletcher being among the favourites to win the tournament in the eyes of many fans, he tasted defeat for the second week in a row – losing to PAC courtesy of the Black Arrow.

After the match AEW camera’s caught up with a dejected Fletcher, who had the following to say:

“Obviously things aren’t going my way. I think I have so much confidence, and people might call it arrogance, but I just believe so deeply in my soul that I am meant to be the best professional wrestler in the world, and now I’ve taken two losses in a row and it sucks. It really, really sucks.

“But I’m not out yet, two wins, two losses, six points, I can still make it to the semis, I can still make it to the finals, I can still win this whole thing. So I am going to wipe this blood off my face, I am going to get back up.

“And “Jungle” Jack Perry, oh my god do you have a storm coming for you because I will still win this whole damn thing. Because I am The Protostar Kyle Fletcher and you will say my full name.”
