It appears 17-time WWE World Champion John Cena will be involved in a segment with Danhausen at WrestleMania 42.
A couple of weeks ago, WWE confirmed Cena would be returning as the host of WrestleMania, appearing across both nights of the event in Las Vegas.
Tonight, Danhausen seemed to confirm that he will be involved in some kind of interaction with Cena at the weekend.
In a backstage segment with WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce tonight, Danhausen interrupted Pearce when he was on the phone to someone talking about Cena hosting WrestleMania.
Danhausen said:
“Is that him (John Cena)? Danhausen has a new Demandhausen. Since he’s undefeated and a future Hall of Famer, and most are saying the new greatest of all time, I demand to speak to him. Give me the phone.”
Pearce then replied:
“Listen, if you wanna talk to John, I just said he’s gonna be the host of WrestleMania. I’m sure he would be delighted to speak with you. So if you could excuse me, I’m actually on a phone call.”
Danhausen responded:
“Okay. Well hopefully I can see him, because you can’t see me!”
Pearce then turned around, and when he turned back around to Danhausen, he had in fact disappeared.
Danhausen’s Success Story In WWE
Danhausen’s WWE career got off to a cold start when he debuted to a negative response at Elimination Chamber – it wasn’t really anything to do with him, just with how the situation played out.
However, since then, Danhausen has proven to be a raging success, getting popular in introductory backstage segments before that was recently transferred to live appearances in front of the crowd.
Things like how he got involved in WWE Tag Team Title match on SmackDown recently and cursed the referee should perhaps be kept to a minimum, but so far, he and WWE have seemed to hit on something that is working.
