John Cena has commented ahead of his final WWE appearances in Boston and New York City.
After appearing for the very last time on SmackDown this past Friday (September 5), John Cena will be appearing on Raw for the remainder of his WWE Farewell Tour, with three of his last seven dates coming on the red brand.
After an appearance on the September 15 episode of Raw in Springfield, MA, Cena’s last two Raw showings will come at Boston’s TD Garden on November 10 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden one week later on November 17.
In response to WWE’s official announcement of the dates today, Cena took to Twitter to express his gratitude at returning to the two famous arenas, writing:
As the Farewell Tour makes its final stops I cannot express how lucky and grateful I am to be invited one last time to @TheGarden and the @tdgarden in Boston!
Any Boston fans hitting the @KowloonSaugus after the show?! Might C U there!!
Boston’s TD Garden, which is less than 50 miles away from Cena’s hometown of West Newbury, MA, was expected to host Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 – the stage of Cena’s final WWE appearance, however, that show will instead be coming to Washington, DC’s Capital One Arena, reportedly due to Boston not bidding high enough for the show.
