However, it seems as though WWE and ESPN couldn’t wait that long to get their partnership started, as it has now been confirmed that next weekend’s Clash In Paris event will be the final main roster PLE to stream on Peacock.

Today, WWE announced the reported Wrestlepalooza event for September 20 in Indianapolis, with the event set to air on ESPN, and all future events also airing on ESPN.

One question in regards to the ESPN deal was the NXT premium live events, as they were not included as part of the deal, and we now have confirmation on the status of the shows.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, NXT’s premium live events will still stream on Peacock following the switch to ESPN.

Per THR:

Speaking of lasts, Peacock’s final WWE PLE, Clash in Paris, will stream live from France on Sunday, Aug. 31. With the time difference, it starts at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT. WWE’s minor-leagues, NXT, will still see its premium live events stream on Peacock.

The announcement for the event noted that John Cena will headline the show against an opponent he has not faced off with in over a decade.

Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are also all set for the show.
