A new update has emerged regarding the status of Danhausen on the WWE roster following his arrival to the company.
Danhausen has now been with WWE for almost a month after his debut appearance at Elimination Chamber on February 28.
Since then, he has been appearing weekly on both Raw and SmackDown in backstage segments as well live in front of the crowd during commercial breaks.
Now, WWE has added Danhausen to its official website roster page, and in the process, provided an update on his status.
Danhausen is officially listed in the free agent section of the roster, meaning he is not assigned to either Raw or SmackDown.
Current WWE Free Agents
He joins an exclusive list with only three other WWE stars listed as free agents, with those being Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi and Omos.
Lesnar – who is usually absent from weekly TV until he’s building to a big PLE match – will be making several appearances on Raw in the coming weeks as he builds to a WrestleMania 42 match against Femi.
Femi, meanwhile has been similar to Danhausen in that he’s been making appearances on both Raw and SmackDown since his main roster call-up at the start of the year.
As for Omos, he has made a new home in AAA where is a member of the faction El Ojo (The Eye) with Dorian Roldan and El Hijo Del Vikingo.
Danhausen’s WrestleMania 42 Plans
Throughout his appearances on WWE Raw and SmackDown as of late, Danhausen has been ‘cursing’ a number of heels backstage, including Dominik Mysterio, The Miz, and most recently, Grayson Waller.
Given how warmly he’s been received by fans, Danhausen will undoubtedly have some kind of role at WrestleMania 42.
While he has been appearing somewhat randomly across both shows, the biggest storyline he’s in at the moment is his pursuit of being mentored by The Miz, who is reluctant to do so.
Therefore, if Danhausen is to be involved at WrestleMania, it will likely be in something with The Miz.
Miz last week found himself in between Jelly Roll and Kit Wilson, with it looking like there will be some kind of WrestleMania match coming out of that confrontation.
