WWE star Chelsea Green has confirmed she was one of the ‘drunk’ episodes of Cody Rhodes’ podcast that he said will never air.

In an interview on the Nikki & Brie show that aired earlier today, Rhodes stated that there have been three editions of his What Do You Wanna Talk About podcast – which is sponsored by Wheatley American Vodka – that will never air due to being too drunk from drinking Wheatley.

Rhodes said that those episodes were with Alexa Bliss, Big E, and a third he didn’t want to name because, “she’ll go ham with it.”

Former Women’s United States Champion and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green has now confirmed she was the third lost episode that Rhodes was referring to.

She wrote:

Me, I’m the other one. 😈

Chelsea Green’s Status In WWE

Chelsea Green’s position and status in WWE has been the subject of a lot of discussion for a few years, but especially the past few months.

While Green has had championship success to some extent with the Women’s US and Mixed AAA Tag Titles, it has always seemed unlikely that WWE would elevate her to world championship level – through no fault of her own – evidenced by comments from Michael Hayes on WWE Unreal.

Green has excelled to the point that fans have rallied for her to move up the card, but her role has largely been to take losses, and it’s a role she’s happy with, because ultimately, someone has to do it, and she’s content with being that person because she understands its importance.

The question is, does there come a point where naturally, she deserves more. We’ve seen similar examples where WWE talent have been ‘stuck’ where they were because they were actually so good in their roles that it prevented them from moving upwards.

Ludwig Kaiser was so good in his role as cornerman for GUNTHER that it took a lot of time for him to break away from that despite clearly being capable, and now that he’s been able to do so, he’s the most popular babyface in AAA as El Grande Americano.

Sami Zayn is another example whose upward trajectory really came by happenstance when his planned short stint in the Bloodline storyline became a long one, and he’s been at a higher level ever since.

It could take a similar moment for Chelsea Green to get that chance at main event level, and if it does come, nobody could say she hasn’t earned it. WWE’s conundrum is that they’d be losing such a great undercard asset if she was moved away from that role.
