Becky Lynch has taken issue with GUNTHER after his attack on last night’s WWE Raw, revoking an award she issued earlier this year.
With GUNTHER set to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42, the April 6 episode of WWE Raw saw The Ring General attack his opponent from behind, with the pair brawling before being separated by officials.
In the wake of the attack, Becky Lynch has issued a statement about what went down, noting that GUNTHER’s Bexxie award had been revoked, tweeting:
“I hereby revoke Gunther of his Bexxie award! Possible lifetime ban! How dare you sneak attack my hot husband!”
Lynch had issued the Ring General of the Year award to GUNTHER and herself in the Bexxie Awards of February 2026.
After the attack, GUNTHER returned backstage and was met by Paul Heyman, thanking him for his past actions against Rollins.
With the pair shaking hands, GUNTHER would respond to the “big thank you” by making it quite clear that Heyman now owes him something more.
GUNTHER Retiring Another WWE Star?
Seth Rollins and GUNTHER face each other at WrestleMania 42 on April 18 & 19, but it’s where next for The Ring General that is likely to command interest after the Las Vegas Premium Live Event.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw GUNTHER retire John Cena back in December, while AJ Styles would face the end of his in-ring career against the very same star at this year’s Royal Rumble.
With Cena having previously hinted that Brock Lesnar is also heading to a WWE retirement this year, the Beast Incarnate heads to WrestleMania 42 to face Oba Femi in one of a limited number of appearances.
While there has been speculation that GUNTHER would be the one to end Lesnar’s in-ring career, the trajectory is yet to be confirmed for such a moment, although the recent interaction with The Vision’s manager, the handshake and “you owe me so much more than a very big thank you” that left Heyman seemingly shaken certainly hints at the direction things are going.
One of only three singles matches without a championship in contention so far announced for WrestleMania 42 (the others being Lesnar vs. Oba Femi and Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio), GUNTHER vs. Rollins could keep Heyman busy at the Allegiant Stadium, with The Vision teaming up with IShowSpeed to take on LA Knight & The Usos.
