Another update has emerged on the WWE future of Bayley and a potential character change she’s in the process of undergoing.
It’s been a rocky year for Bayley so far, as she’s missed out on being on the card at both WrestleMania 41 and SummerSlam.
Starting last week, a video promo aired for Bayley that indicated she was battling some kind of inner mental issues that were potentially going to alter her character in order to get her career back on track.
In the week since then, he social media activity has been bizarre and has often involved her having nonsensical conversations with herself.
This week, there was another video similar to last week, but it ended on a very specific note.
Bayley stated:
“I don’t know what I need.”
An inner, somewhat evil sounding voice then said:
“How about a hug?”
This was obviously a reference to Bayley’s days as ‘The Hugger’ when she was a babyface in NXT and her first few years on the WWE main roster before she turned heel in late 2019.
Whether this means Bayley is going back to that persona, or perhaps moving even further away from it, remains to be seen.
