An announced match for a WWE championship was cancelled before it was set to take place tonight.
Last week, it was announced that Kendal Grey would make the next defence of her WWE Evolve Women’s Championship against Karmen Petrovic on tonight’s episode of WWE Evolve on Tubi.
However, tonight’s episode of the show was not a regular episode of the show, with Kam Hendrix, Harley Riggins, Jax Presley, Keanu Carver and Braxton Cole of Team PC running the show following their victory over Team WWE ID on last week’s show.
Hendrix would announce that the planned WWE Evolve Women’s Championship match between Kendal Grey and Karmen Petrovic would no longer be taking place on tonight’s show.
Instead, Hendrix booked the WWE Evolve Men’s Champion Jackson Drake in a Handicap match against himself, Keanu Carver, Harley Riggins and Jax Presley, with Hendrix pinning Drake ahead of their title match next week.
Jackson Drake has an opportunity to become a double champion next week, with him one of seven men competing for the vacant NXT Championship on next week’s NXT television.
