On March 26, WrestleVotes addressed rumours on possible WWE legend returns at WrestleMania via a post on Twitter.
The trucks which were seen behind The Rock and Cody Rhodes during their closing angle on Raw showed two major WWE legends who are now speculated for appearances in Philadelphia.
After all, it is the 40th edition of WrestleMania so the biggest names showing up cannot be ruled out.
Surely, the two-night extravaganza has space to have at least a few legends to guest star and fulfil some kind of role.
Let’s take a look on who could appear during the show of shows.
6. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Just two years ago Stone Cold Steve Austin wrestled a full match against Kevin Owens out of nowhere.
It was a stupendous night for the Texas Rattlesnake and very few names mean as much to WWE and the WrestleMania brand as him.
Besides his many WrestleMania main events, he was part of the epic opening to WrestleMania 30 featuring The Rock and Hulk Hogan.
With Rock main eventing at least one night of WrestleMania this year his arch-rival should not be too far away.
Perhaps that glass shatters one more time at the Grandest Stage, making way for a face-off between The People’s Champ and The Texas Rattlesnake on last time.

5. Raven

23 years ago Raven was part of Luke Owen’s favorite match ever: The WrestleMania 17 Hardcore Triple Threat.
The man who hails from Philadelphia, the town that hosts WrestleMania 40, should definitely make a cameo at the granddaddy them all.
Not only is his mentor Paul Heyman being inducted into the Hall of Fame, Raven is perfect fit for a fun backstage segment.
Imagine R-truth mistaking Seth Rollins for Raven only for the real Raven to show up? Philly would certainly love this.

4. Bull Nakano

One of the biggest legends in Women’s Wrestling, Bull Nakano, is finally being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The perfect time for her to make one final splash in WWE by helping out Bayley against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania.
Bayley is clearly outnumbered against Damage CTRL, even with Naomi by her side. Just imagine the moment of Asuka, Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai being kicked out of the arena by Nakano.
It would be Nakano’s first appearance on a WWE show in over 25 years. Make it happen. She could even get help by another woman’s legend…

3. Trish Stratus

Much like Stone Cold, Trish Stratus is also featured on the trucks on this week’s Monday Night Raw. Even though Stratus left WWE has a heel character last year, it would make sense to bring her back as a babyface now.
Her most recent run in WWE was nothing more than impressive and it should be expected that fans are going to cheer her anyways.
Alongside Naomi, Nakano and Stratus could take care of Damage CTRL while Bayley deals with the WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY inside the ring.
WrestleMania 40 is in desperate need for some stratusfaction.

2. Hulk Hogan

Yes, the Hulkster is almost certainly going to be involved and be at WrestleMania 40.
He is already featured on the “WWE World” festivities around the show of shows.
Plus, it is the 40th anniversary of Hulkamania. There is just no way around Hulk Hogan this year.
Although in recent years fan’s rejection of Hulk Hogan has grown, he is part of the reason this all started. Therefore Hulkamania will be running wild once more.

1. John Cena

John Cena recently stated that he was waiting for a call to attend WrestleMania 40, suggesting that no plans were in place for the 16-time world champion.
While that may or may not actually be the case, it would be a huge surprise if Cena wasn’t featured at the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania in some fashion.
He is one of the biggest stars WWE ever produced and while he is probably not going to wrestle, he could be the one to at least host the event.
Or perhaps, similarly to Austin, Cena could maybe show up and confront WWE’s Final Boss and his old arch-rival The Rock.
Cena has history with Roman Reigns also, so if on WrestleMania Sunday it does end up being ‘Bloodline Rules’, Cena showing up to help even the odds alongside Austin, Jey Uso and Seth Rollins would make for an unforgettable moment.
That may be leaning too much into fantasy booking territory but you never know.
Whatever John Cena will be doing at Mania, I am sure we are going to see him…or will we?
