WWE and AAA Worlds Collide will mark the first official co-promotional premium live event since the two companies came together with the acquisition of the Mexican promotion.
The lineup for the show will be headlined with El Hijo Del Vikingo defending the AAA Mega Championship against Chad Gable, with plenty of inter-promotional bouts also set.
With the card already announced, WWE could have several more surprises in the form of various returning stars throughout the show.
Here are six potential returns at WWE Worlds Collide 2025.
6. Rey Mysterio
Before WrestleMania 41 started, it was revealed that Rey Mysterio suffered a torn groin injury that required surgery and meant that he had to be pulled from his scheduled bout at the show.
Originally scheduled to face El Grande Americano, Mysterio was replaced by Rey Fenix in the Mania match.
Looking at the poster for WWE & AAA Worlds Collide, Mysterio was seen front and center as one of the major stars to be featured at the PLE.
Regardless of his injury status, Mysterio should appear on the upcoming premium live event and have some role during the telecast even if it is nothing physical.

5. Konnan
When WWE announced their acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA, one of the first names to publicly comment on it was Konnan.
As one of the members of the AAA creative team, Konnan is an influential figure in the Mexican promotion.
After making an appearance at the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame to induct Rey Mysterio, Konnan could once again show up at a major event with this World Collide show.
Whether it be a short cameo or even serving as a special guest referee, the Mexican legend should definitely play a crucial role at WWE & AAA Worlds Collide.

4. Savio Vega
Ahead of WWE and AAA Worlds Collide, reports emerged that the company was bringing in Savio Vega for the event.
Back at WWE Backlash 2023, Vega made a surprise appearance, aligning with the LWO to fight against The Judgment Day during the Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest San Jose Street Fight.
The WWE legend made a name for himself during the mid-1990s in the New Generation and Attitude Eras.
Having Savio be a special guest at this event would garner a big pop from the Los Angeles crowd at the KIA Forum and could also include him getting involved in the action.

3. Chavo Guerrero
Someone who has his ties to the history of lucha libre is Chavo Guerrero.
The former WWE star has not appeared in the company since 2011 and could be a memorable surprise making his way back into the fold.
During his recent appearance on TNA IMPACT, Guerrero showcased that he still has plenty more left in the tank at the age of 54 years old.
Chavo being one of the special guests at WWE and AAA Worlds Collide could be a great way to pay tribute to his grandfather and lucha libre pioneer, Gory Guerrero, at an event that should honor this style of wrestling.

2. Psicosis
Psicosis is a luchador who has more than 35 years of experience in the pro wrestling business.
Considering his recent history in Lucha Libre AAA, Psicosis would be welcomed addition to the Worlds Collide premium live event.
The AAA Hall of Famer last competed in a match back in November 2024 and could climb back inside the squared circle at WWE & AAA Worlds Collide.
With his history working for WWE back in the 2000s, Psicosis could be a nice bridge between the two promotions as a special guest at the PLE.
