WWE Tag Teams Splitting Up Soon

Share

WWE stars Pretty Deadly and Judgment Day

With some eagle-eyed fans wondering if they just saw another WWE tag team quietly disband on SmackDown, there could be more to come.

From teams who are seemingly moving on from one another to others that seem headed for certain disaster in the near future — there could be several WWE tag teams on the verge of a split.

Here are five tag teams that could be splitting up soon.

5. Pretty Deadly

After Kit Wilson made his entrance on the October 31 edition of Smackdown with a new theme, fans were wondering if he had abandoned his Pretty Deadly tag team.

Elton Prince has been out of action since July when he suffered a separated shoulder during a match.

While Wilson was described by Corey Graves on commentary as though he had moved away from his “Yes Boy” fun loving gimmick, later some clarity from the star directly.

Taking to social media to clear up any confusion Wilson clarified that he would never break up with Prince.

4. Judgment Day (Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez)

While they have been a fun interim tag team, the road may be coming to an end for the duo of Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.

While Roxanne Perez took over Liv Morgan’s half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship when she was injured back in June, the duo would eventually go on to lose the titles.

It is hard to imagine that upon the return of Liv Morgan, Rodriguez would choose to align with her new pal Roxanne Perez.

Potentially splitting apart Judgment Day as an entire group when she returns to action, it would seem that Liv Morgan would want to keep her alliance with Raquel Rodriguez over anyone else in the group.

3. Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Angel & Berto)

After it was reported that Santos Escobar had departed from WWE after his contract expired but he subsequently re-signed a few days later, it seemed that Legado del Fantasma had finally come to an entd.

It seems though that the duo of Angel & Berto will march on however without Escobar.

It has been reported that Santos Escobar is not only set for a switch to the WWE Raw brand but he also could be debuting an entirely new character.

While their time as a group on SmackDown and AAA was enjoyable, it could be intriguing to see what is next for all of the members of the latest iteration of Legado Del Fantasma.

2. LWO (Dragon Lee, Joaquin Wilde & Cruz Del Toro)

In a trio that has seemingly been quietly disbanded, the members of the LWO have largely gone their own directions since Rey Mysterio left action due to injury in April 2025.

With Dragon Lee now one half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions but with AJ Styles in lieu of anyone affiliated with the group, it doesn’t seem that he needs to have the support of a squad at this point.

With the pair of Wilde and Del Toro last seeing action in September — both individually and together, it could be that they are being held from TV for a specific story.

It has been reported that Rey Mysterio is nearing a return to action could end up bringing the LWO back together for the holidays.

1. Zaruca

The tag team of Sol Ruca and ZARIA on NXT has been a fun pair to watch but also to wait out as it seemed they would likely fall apart eventually.

However, while they remained friends and defied the odds — it could be that their team is finally coming to an end. With Sol Ruca picking up a recent injury, she found herself unable to defend her NXT North American Championship at Halloween Havoc 2025 against Blake Monroe.

Instead, ZARIA took her place in the match but after a brutal affair — ended up still losing the title to Monroe. With Ruca later given the option to either vacate her WWE Speed Championship or pass it on to someone else to defend — instead Ruca chose to vacate the title, seemingly causing heartache to ZARIA.

With Ruca potentially out of action for some time due to her injury, it could be that a betrayal from ZARIA will be the one to write her off TV in the end.
