With the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductees continuing to be announced, there could be at least one tag team on the list this year.

From legendary teams that may be returning to in-ring action to another that was previously thought to be ruled out from being included at all, there could be some intriguing additions to this year’s class of inductees that currently only contains Stephanie McMahon.

Here are six potential tag teams and one immortal tag team moment that could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2026.

6. Demolition

One tag team that often comes up when fans speculate as to who will be inducted each year into the WWE Hall of Fame is Demolition.

While previously considered to a pair that WWE may never induct into the Hall of Fame, there was a nod in 2025 that seems to spark hope.

With Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow) signing legends deals with WWE last year, there is an opportunity for them to feature in future merchandise.

Potentially paving the way for an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2026, their inclusion would make complete sense.

5. Hardy Boyz

A pair of potential WWE Hall of Fame 2026 inductees could be Matt and Jeff Hardy.

With their TNA Wrestling contracts reportedly coming to a close soon, there have been rumblings that the duo could be returning to re-sign with WWE for one more run.

Potentially looking to have a run that is capped off by an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, it could be a fun twist to see their return begin with that induction.

Able to blend together the induction into a WrestleMania 42 storyline, the quest to determine the best tag team in WWE history could become an amazing aspect of the upcoming WrestleMania season.

4. Wyatt Family

WWE fans continue to miss the creative genius of Bray Wyatt who passed away in August 2023.

While an eventual posthumous induction for Bray Wyatt seems highly likely, it could be that incorporating the entire Wyatt Family would make sense for this year.

Likely able to bring together a very cool activation for fans to visit memorabilia related to the Wyatt Family, the 2026 Hall of Fame in Las Vegas could be the perfect showcase.

While the Wyatt Sicks continue to impress on the main roster and in AAA, honoring the origins of their legacy could end up being used as part of their storyline as well.

3. The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection

While their partnership may have been relatively brief, the duo of Mankind (Mick Foley) and The Rock is one that remains a fan favorite over a quarter-century later.

A heated feud that turned into a delightful tag team, the duo were multi-time WWE Tag Team Champions during their brief stint as a team in 1999 and 2000.

With Mick Foley already inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, the nod would be The Rock’s first induction.

Since The Final Boss seems as though he would look for a solo induction before this particular aspect of his career, The Rock n’ Sock Connection might have to wait.

2. Midnight Express

A tag team that professional wrestling fans often cite as a notable exclusion from the WWE Hall of Fame are the Midnight Express.

However, historians are quick to point out that the Midnight Express duo of Dennis Condrey (Stan Lane would later replace him) and Bobby Eaton with manager Jim Cornette didn’t actually compete in the WWF or WWE.

Rather making their name throughout professional wrestling elsewhere including the NWA and WCW, it would later be Jim Cornette as a manger for Bob Holly and Bart Gunn in WWE in 1998 in an attempt at making a ‘New Midnight Express’ that came to WWE.

With a recent promising sign – WWE Vault uploading a two-hour long compilation of the Midnight Express versus the Rock n’ Roll Express – an induction could be coming.

1. Immortal Moment – The Rockers Barber Shop Break-Up

While they didn’t ever capture tag team gold, the duo of Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty were trailblazers in tag team wrestling in the late 80s and early 90s.

While Shawn Michaels is already in the WWE Hall of Fame, his tag team partner, Marty Jannetty is not.

Perhaps finding a way for Jannetty to be included for The Rockers’ contributions, their iconic 1992 barber shop scene has lived on as one of the most replayed clips in WWE history.

Inspiring some major subsequent storylines – including Toxic Attraction in NXT essentially recreating the scene – Shawn Michaels betraying Marty Jannetty to kick-start his solo career could be a solid choice for an immortal moment.
