With Survivor Series WarGames coming up at the end of this month in San Diego, California — there will be two big bouts to book.

From the already reported line-ups to others that could be fun secondary options, there are several intriguing ways that the annual Survivor Series WarGames matches could shake out this year.

Here are five potential plans for the WWE Survivor Series War Games matches.

5. Men’s Match – Bloodline Babyfaces vs. Vision Heels

The originally reported Survivor Series WarGames teams have been discussed plenty however, the configuration will have to change from the initial creative plan.

It was once reported that the plans were for a team of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and either LA Knight or Jimmy Uso to go up against the heel squad led by Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory.

Certainly scrapped is Seth Rollins and with Jacob Fatu having been recently taken out of action for a dental surgery, it would seem that perhaps the heel side will be in need of some new participants.

With the babyfaces able to replace Fatu with Jimmy Uso if necessary, it seems that the heels are the side that is still set for balancing. While it certainly seems like WWE plans on soldiering on with the original plans but subbing in members to the heel team — nothing has been confirmed yet.

4. Women’s Match — Team AJ Lee vs. Team Becky Lynch

Along with the reports of the direction for the men’s WarGames match also came a report regarding the creative plans for the women’s match.

It was reported that a babyface team of AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and IYO SKY were set to take on the heel squad of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and NXT star Lash Legend.

Although there is still time to kick off several potential feuds to make this make even more sense as we approach the event, it could also be at least a part was a misdirection.

With Lash Legend’s name possibly a red herring to protect the heel turn of Jade Cargill, it could be the new Women’s Champion who joins the WarGames field but we’ll have to stay tuned to find out for sure.

3. Men’s Match — MFTs vs. Wyatt Sicks

Recently being teased on SmackDown, it could be that there is already a contingency plan in place for the men’s WarGames match.

With the MFT group of Solo Sikoa, Tala Tonga, Tonga Loa, JC Mateo and Tama Tonga potentially able to face off against the Wyatt Sicks squad of Uncle Howdy, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, Erick Rowan with a bonus member.

Some potentials could include Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura or Ilja Dragunov that could round out the Sicks faction for the WarGames teams to even out at five.

Bringing about a fun feud that could end up having the blow off match be WarGames rather than shoving a combination of people together for the bout just because could be a welcome refresh to stave off the annual tradition getting stale.

2. Women’s Match – Team NXT vs. Team Evolution

There could be a unique opportunity to pit some of the most notable WWE trailblazers from the women’s division against future top stars still in NXT.

While it continues to be clear that NXT has a stacked women’s division, it could be the perfect time for the group to showcase their skills on a big stage.

Forcing an alliance between heels and faces on the Raw and SmackDown side could also add a compelling layer of drama from the past and the present.

Pitting a veteran team of Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, Charlotte Flair, Bayley & AJ Lee up against the NXT squad of Blake Monroe, Jordynne Grace, Kelani Jordan, Jacy Jayne & Fallon Henley could be an exceptional showcase.

1. Men’s Match — Team Brock Lesnar vs. Team CM Punk

Although Seth Rollins has been scrapped from the WarGames match due to injury, he could be replaced by another known affiliate of Paul Heyman — Brock Lesnar.

Team Brock could see an unusual combination of forces putting together Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul and Solo Sikoa.

Facing off against the CM Punk led team of Jimmy & Jey Uso, LA Knight and a surprise return from Roman Reigns, there could be a really fascinating battle play out in the match.

With opportunities for someone to turn heel (or possibly even turn face), there could be even more than meets the eye to the annual WarGames match.
