From stars who have been out of action due to injury to others that have been away for quite some time, there are numerous potential comebacks.

Here are seven returns that could happen at WWE Survivor Series 2025.

7. Jacob Fatu

One WWE star who could be returning from injury is Jacob Fatu after having been written off of TV since mid-October.

Still out of action after taking time off to have dental surgery, his exact timeline for a return still unknown.

His on-screen absence was explained via an attack by an unknown assailant backstage, potentially leading to a big reveal when he does return about who may be the perpetrator.

With most fingers pointing to Drew McIntyre being responsible for the attack, there could easily be more suspects revealed upon Fatu’s return.

6. The Undertaker

A legendary return to WWE screens for a one-off appearance may be The Undertaker.

While The Undertaker hosts his own WWE podcast as well as featuring on A&E’s WWE LFG series, he could pop up at Survivor Series for one specific reason.

Celebrating 35 years of the Undertaker, the WWE Hall of Famer initially debuted on November 22, 1990 – at Survivor Series.

Possibly announcing the attendance figure for the event or in another role, The Undertaker may well be acknowledged in some way.

Liv Morgan has been out of action since suffering a shoulder injury during a match with Kairi Sane in June on WWE Raw.

After undergoing surgery, according to reports she is nearing return to action in “early 2026,” but there’s a possibility she could be back earlier.

With speculation that Morgan may make her return to WWE as a babyface, it would make sense if she were to appear at Survivor Series 2025.

Potentially resurrecting her previous feud with Nikki Bella – now that Bella is a heel – WWE fans could end up seeing new feuds for Morgan with Bella, Becky Lynch or Roxanne Perez. Or, there’s the possibility of her getting involved in Dominik Mysterio’s match against John Cena.

4. Stone Cold Steve Austin

In an interesting turn of events in the days leading up to Survivor Series 2025, a TikTok made the rounds showing that Petco Park was testing graphics for which included the tron visuals for Stone Cold Steve Austin.

In testing the graphics and sound it is common for WWE to use random legends, so it doesn’t at all mean a return is in store, but it still piqued fans’ interest.

If there were to be a big return from Stone Cold in San Diego, it would certainly be welcome since many fans are often hopeful that there will be one more match from the legend.

With fans hoping that he could be making an in-ring return at WrestleMania 42 since the show is in Las Vegas again, Survivor Series could work as a launch point to set that up.

3. Austin Theory

A name that was reported for the men’s WarGames match that seems to have ultimately been scrapped is Austin Theory.

While he was described as injured by his former A-Town Down Under tag team partner Grayson Waller, there haven’t been any further details of the nature of his injury disclosed after the former United States Champion has been out of action since July.

With Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre now in place of the originally reported Seth Rollins and Austin Theory for the men’s WarGames match, Theory could still make a surprise return.

Possibly still popping up as a new member of The Vision to help the team in WarGames, Theory might be able to make a major impact on the bout without technically being in the match.

2. Chad Gable

After being out of action since June with a shoulder injury, Chad Gable is also reportedly close to making a return.

Without any specific timeline for the versatile star to be back in action, it would be intriguing for him to run into a familiar character at WWE Survivor Series in Petco Park.

Coming face-to-face with El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser) in a backstage segment could set up a feud for the near future between Gable’s American Made faction and a new stable that has emerged since Gable has been out.

With the addition of Rayo Americano (Pete Dunne) and Bravo Americano (Tyler Bate), El Grande Americano now has his own faction as backup.

1. Bianca Belair

One possible return at Survivor Series could be former WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair after a long absence due to injury.

Out since an injury during the three-way match for the Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY at WrestleMania 41, Belair has made several appearances albeit without wrestling.

Since her initial injury ended up more complex than first thought, her time away from the ring has been longer than expected but there could be some good news coming soon.

Belair has recently commented that she continues to be hopeful for an in-ring return in the near future.
